Question: How to make a break through in comedy as a woman in a man's world?

In my school, I work for our news station. It's a BIG deal in our school, but all the funny stories and skits are done by the guys in our class. I've yet to see a girl do one. I want to be the one to make a difference. Girls in my class are just made to look classy and sophisticated on camera. I still want to look good, I just want to be the one girl who can make the class laugh. We're all high schoolers by the way, any ideas?

Just be like. "Hey, I want in on this comedy thing. "
